Thoughts for Thursday

This week has been so nice, being home before we travel the rest of the month. We head to Texas in a few days, and I couldn’t be more excited. This week was filled with nesting, laundry, working from home, baking, and spending time with friends. My best friend is a photographer, so she shot some belly pictures for me this week.

We are currently planning a babymoon||anniversary trip to Chicago! So any suggestions for food, shopping, etc let me know!

Gender Reveal!

So about four weeks ago we went to our original gender appointment, and anatomy ultrasound! Unfortunately the tech couldn’t get a good picture of the baby, and wanted us to wait a few more weeks after the baby had grown a little more!

Side note: crazy how quickly they grow in just 4 weeks!

We were sad, but happy to know the baby was healthy, and doing great!

Fast forward to yesterday, our new appointment. It didn’t take her a minute to tell us the gender, she immediately said “it’s a girl!” ..and then came the tears! It was one of the happiest moments of my life! This whole pregnancy I’ve had this feeling she was a girl, I guess the mommy instincts really kicked in early! We haven’t decided a name yet, but cannot wait to share when we do!

How far along: 21 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 9-10 pounds, seems to fluctuate some.

Maternity Clothes: yeah, some! Mostly pants & a lot of oversized non maternity.

Best Moment this Week: Finding out that we are having a baby girl!!

Gender : girl.

Movement: a little during the day, but mostly at night and in the morning. It’s 7 AM, and I can feel her squirming around.

Food Cravings: cooked sushi, grapes, tomatoes, avocados, and mashed potatoes.

Food aversions: heavy meals & sweets.

What I Miss: regular pants, and energy. I get tired so easily.

Sleep: pretty good, wake up about once a night to pee!

What I am looking forward to: nesting! I can’t wait to start on the nursery & get into nesting mode.

Belly Button: Flat, but stretched.

NUDE Skin Care

I haven’t done a skin care post in awhile, so I thought I might tell you guys about my new favorites! A couple of months ago when Nude skin care reached out to me, I was so excited! I’ve always wanted to try a facial oil, but have been scared because of my sensitive skin.

So, after a few days of being skeptical I loved it!!! My skin has never felt so soft, and I’ve really noticed a difference in the texture of my skin. The rescue oil, truly does rescue any little fine lines, and calms aggravated skin. Take a minute, and go to their site to check it out! Also sold at Sephora!

At home

As most of you know we travel, a lot. This year, we have basically traveled the globe it feels like! So this past month at home for the holidays, has been so amazing. We’ve been able to catch up on projects, watch Christmas movies, and spend time together at our sweet little home here in Nashville!

I wanted to take time to tell you guys about a few favorites I have this month. I wanted a few pictures framed from our Europe trips this year, and when I saw FrameBridge on Instagram I knew they would be perfect! Every frame came perfectly in the mail, each packaged with careful hands. I love that they also stick a nail inside for hanging. What a great company! Not to mention the frames look amazing!!! I’ll post a link below to the shop, they also have a app that is extremely quick for Instagram framing!

Thoughtful Wednesday.. With Ingrid & Isabel

It’s funny, because everyone always asks me “what are your cravings” or “what’s the CRAZIEST craving you’ve had.” I usually, to their disappointment say, “oh nothing much, besides asian food.”

Well, at 6:45 AM I found myself craving *drumroll inserted in my head* Buffalo Wild Wings honey BBQ boneless wings. Yes. Wings. At 6 in the morning, my husband rolled over and laughed, and I continued to dream of eating wings for about fifteen minutes. Pretty gross right?

So there it is people, the start of my weird cravings has apparently arrived.

In other news, we find out the gender of our baby tomorrow! I can’t believe it’s actually here, it’s like the equivalent unwrapping a million Christmas presents in my brain. I did get a little nervous about the anatomy part of the ultrasound (making sure babe is growing healthy, and all the organs are normal and healthy.)  So after talking with some amazing girlfriends who have been in the same boat, and some prayer, Jesus gave me the sweetest peace.

My verse of the week is:

He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes. -Psalm 112:7

I’ll end on this note, Ingrid&Isabel are lifesavers. Their maternity clothes are the coziest I’ve put on since I’ve been pregnant. I can’t wait to share more looks with you all!  I’ll link their site below!

Inglesina USA & Christmas Decor

The past couple of days have been so much fun, we got our Christmas tree, decorated the house, watched Christmas movies, and came home to the most beautiful stroller ever!

I wanted to find a stroller good for travel, the outdoors, and that is easy to work with! We found the perfect stroller from Ingelsina USA “The Quad” it’s greeeeat for any kind of travel, super easy to use, I mean it took husband five minutes to assemble, and it pushes SO smoothly. I couldn’t be happier, now all we need is our little bundle to ride around in it! I’ll place the link below for any of you mommas! Here are some snaps from this week!

Kubler Family Adoption fundraiser!

A few days ago, I posted a quick little Instagram about a friend of mine doing a fundraiser for her domestic adoption. Visit her blog here >> kateandkuby.com to purchase one of these cute little T-shirts!

I love the fact that the body of Christ can come together, and support sweet families like the Kublers. Katie is a mom that a genuinely look up to in so many ways, she’s just amazing! So if you will take the time to go over, and support them that would be amazing!

2nd Trimester update

Hey all. So I am so thrilled to say that I finally feel MUCH better, about two weeks in to my second trimester–and feeling great. I have so much more energy, and can actually drink coffee again!
My whole first trimester just the smell of coffee would send me into all day nausea! Now, it’s like a switch flipped, and I’m back to normal. People would tell me the 2nd trimester is the “golden trimester” and I have to agree! Looking forward to sharing more pregnancy updates very soon!

NYFW & NobleDEN hotel

We had such a great week at NYFW, we ate, laughed, made SO many memories, went to so many fun shows, and stayed at the most amazing hotel!

We stayed close to ChinaTown in SOHO at a new hotel called NobleDEN! They were so nice, and accommodating!

It was neat, because it was their opening week, so everything was so nice, and new. Every morning we would go to the rooftop, have coffee, and chat about the plans of our day! I would definitely say it was a great location, and would recommend it to anyone coming to NY for a week or so. I do have to say the rooftop was my favorite part with such a great view of the city!
